Every belief is shaped by our experiences. These are mine, for now.
What is Design ?
Design, to me, is not solving problems. It's finding the right problems to solve. Most bad work comes from answering the wrong question well. When the problem is right, I want the solution to hold some art and some human story in it, not just function.
Balance
I think most good work is an exercise in balance. There isn't a single ingredient that's always more important than the rest. Every project asks for a different proportion, and my role is to understand what that proportion should be. Maybe that's why I admire nature so much, it never feels like it's trying too hard, yet everything belongs.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast
It's a reminder I keep coming back to. I believe the mind needs time to make sense of complexity, to connect ideas, uncover hidden constraints, that don't always have a name. I can work fast when I need to, but I don't believe speed makes the work better. Thought does.
Point me in a direction, I'll figure out the way.
I don't look at work as a list of assigned tasks. Once I understand the vision, I instinctively start looking for ways to move it forward. I enjoy environments built on trust, where curiosity and ownership matter more than constant guidance. That's where I do my best work.
Be a sponge
I used to think the best lessons came from designers. Now I think they come from people. Everyone is solving something, and every story carries a way of thinking I haven't seen before. The more perspectives I absorb, the more ways I find to approach my own work.
Create the dots.
I don't believe growth follows a straight line. It happens by collecting experiences that don't seem related until one day they are. That's why I say yes to things that feel unfamiliar and stay curious about work beyond design. Whether it's understanding how engineers think, how marketing tells a story, or how sales builds relationships, every experience becomes another dot. I trust the connections will reveal themselves when I need them.
